Lina, the Mishing in the The Mishing-Parsi, is currently a full-time research scholar, an avid food enthusiast, a free-spirited tribal girl from Assam. Born and raised in the beautiful hill town of Kohima, food was always a part of her human cultural experience. What better way to share this food journey with like-minded people!
Hanoz, the Parsi Bawa in The Mishing-Parsi, is an entrepreneur with a long history of sales in Real Estate, and good food is the outcome of his health, oops! Or is that the other way! Either way there is only one true way to live a quality life, i.e., through quality food. This quality food can exist anywhere, it’s all about keeping an open mind and experience food!!
As The Mishing Parsi we initiate any discussion on food diversity. From fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy products, herbs, etc to cuisines which can be traditionally cooked or adapted in fusion with the metropolitan culture, to ingredients we have never used and more. Ultimately through this food journey, we hope to learn more about food and how it evolved. Meanwhile we can also exchange ideas of cooking up a storm of unique recipes for a full sensory experience. We encourage everyone to share their own stories of and relationship with food.
We want to be able to reach out to as many people willing to be a part of our food journey. How we view food personally comes from our relationship with food. That’s why any celebration is incomplete without food, it is the heart and soul of any festivity. So, our mission to connect all the food lovers out there through the language of food!
Eventually our goal of The Mishing Parsi is to incorporate as many unique food experiences of people as possible from across multiple food cultures. Our dream is to collaborate and build food communities. This platform, therefore encourages and provides a space for reconstructing our diverse food realities and in the process our own narratives and relationship with food and nutrition.
